VESTIGE x Albers’ Homage To The Square Graphic Tees

Josef Albers’ seminal geometric abstract works, Homage to the Square – a series of paintings composed of four superimposed squares of oil color based upon Albers’ systematic application of colors – remain one of the art world’s most recognizable series of paintings. Albers created hundreds of variations of the classic composition, an exploration of art, form and perception now being honored with the release of a sequel collection of customizable tees under the VESTIGE x Albers collection moniker.

VESTIGE, a NYC brand with a sizable catalog of graphic tees (and with an emphasis on simple yet bold graphic designs), collaborated with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation to curate a series of color palettes inspired by several of Albers’ Homage to the Square works, including: Wide Light, Full, Day + Night, Midnight + Moon, Grey Instrumentation, and the Soft Edge / Hard Edge Portfolio. VESTIGE offers four different palettes to further customize into a unique variation in t-shirt form.

Additionally, the VESTIGE x Albers collection includes an Homage to the Square sweatshirt, shorts and button-up shirts, each inspired by the chromatic and color block arrangements of the Bauhaus artist, inviting the possibility of an entire summertime wardrobe based upon color theory.
