What Do Tutor, Tailor, Actress + Journalist Have in Common? Ask Hogai

Visually lightweight and drenched in saturated color, the introduction of Hogai’s latest table series continues to help redefine spaces with their contemporary lines. Tutor, Tailor, Actress, and Journalist were manifested in collaboration with BIURO AR designers Bartek Klepiński, Katarzyna Erkiert, and Patrycja Bruź-Soniewicka as versatile, functional solutions that exude expression. The design element that runs throughout the four table series is a top with an elevated perimeter that plays both a functional and aesthetic role, helping to soften metal edges and provide a sense of safety and comfort.

Tutor

The Tutor and the Tailor bedside tables are perfectly designed for a streamlined bedroom, bringing with them adaptability. Tutor features a sharp asymmetry, while Tailor is a more layered design. With four configurations, they easily transform from storage into open shelving to best serve your needs. Both tables feature a smart notch that allows for the cables of your phone or lamp to rest safely atop the raised-edge top. While the two designs are clearly related, their intricacies set them apart from one another.

Journalist

The Journalist coffee table has the style to stand out as the center of attention in your living space. Full of character and detailed craftsmanship, both its edges and square top help define a space with distinction.

“Steel as a material is extremely malleable, inspiring, and encourages the search for interesting forms,” notes Patrycja Bruź-Soniewicka, Hogai’s Creative Director. “It’s this interplay of strength and finesse that directs us to Bauhaus simplicity. Our low coffee table is the embodiment of this philosophy; it captures the essence of lightness and substance, akin to a floating tray yet grounded in form.”
