This Z-Chair was developed by Tom De Vrieze for Belgian manufacturer Joli. These chairs are in first editions available for outdoor use, made of stainless steel frame and a textilene shell, and are stackable. They have a thin tubular 30×15 mm profile (1.18 x 0.59 in),  plastic reinforcement inside, and the moon-shaped detail at the base. This detail has a dual function, besides reinforcement it works also as an absorber. Because some z-chairs tend to undulate, this chair remains stable and once seated it reduces the wave effect.
