German design student Simon Frambach created this lamp that challenges your perceptions of what a lamp should be and do. It functions just like any other lamp except that its shade is made of soft foamed polyurethane, so it feels more like a pillow than a traditional lampshade.
“The idea of designing a lamp, that is altered completely in its functionality only through its untypical and odd surface has been the first point of interest for me. To me it is fascinating how one little alteration (the softness) can really change the whole concept of a product that surrounds us,” he explains.
It kind of reminds me of this huggable pillow light.
