Acu Lamp by Marcin Laskowski

Designer Marcin Laskowski hails from Poland and his latest creation is the Acu Lamp where the lampshade’s shape and structure take inspiration from acoustic wall panels. You know those panels made from dark gray foam with wedges that jut out to help with sound absorption? Well, that very same foam creates a futuristic lampshade that will surely get noticed.

Pairing the gray foam with a turquoise textile-covered cord brings a fun contrast of colors to the fixture.

The foam is lightweight and flexible allowing for ease of installation and maneuvering, which is a nice escape from the typical glass or fragile shade that most fixtures have.
