An Adults-Only Hotel That Features Five Uniquely Themed Suites

Anytime Dutch designer Marcel Wanders touches something, you know it’s going to be good (here’s the proof). One of his latest projects is the Grand Portals Nous, operated by IBEROSTAR, a five-star hotel that just opened in July and is situated on the Balearic Islands in Spain. This is the hotel collective’s first establishment in the Mediterranean under its Grand Collection portfolio. Made for adults only, the luxury hotel was designed for guests to effortlessly enjoy their vacation through premium services, thoughtful design, and of course, the incomparable scenic views of Majorca.

The hotel features 66 rooms, five of which are uniquely themed suites. There are 2 Naughty Suites (we did say this was an adults only hotel), a Stargazer Suite (for those wishing to explore outer space), a Games Suite (perfect for bachelor parties with its assortment of in-suite games), a Heritage Suite (made for art lovers) and a Spa Suite (for those looking for the ultimate R&R).

Naughty Suite

Yes, that’s a dance pole in the hotel suite. A room made to invigorate the senses, the two Naughty Suites include round beds with ceiling mirrors, a chaise lounge, a ‘Sexy Relax’ chair designed by R. Hutten, and a box of “tricks.”

Stargazer Suite

The Stargazer Suite features a Swarovsky-starred ceiling (how pretty is that?) and a specialized telescope for discovering the Majorcan night sky.

The Games Suite offers a pinball machine, table football video game console, and a putting green on the terrace.

Marcel Wanders infused the interiors of the hotel with a traditional Majorcan style using intricate motifs on the walls, linens, and floors. Like the vastness of ocean horizon just outside the hotel, he created inviting, open spaces using a mix of transparencies, shades of white, and reflective services.

Other luxurious amenities offered on the property include: keys to a BMW (that’s right) hybrid that guests can use throughout their trip, Nespresso coffee machines and capsules, toiletry bags with Bulgari Blue Tea amenities, and a media hub.

The Grand Hotel Portals Nous also employs a butler service endorsed by the prestigious British Butlers Guild that sets the highest of standards for accommodating guests and their needs, from laundry service, shoe polishing, concierge services, and luggage packing and unpacking (Hallelujah!).

Marcel Wanders created an abstract sculpture specifically for the hotel. Entitled the “Tree of Life,” the motif is repeated throughout the hotel and speaks to the hotel’s emphasis on vitality and harmony.

The food at a hotel says a lot about its standards, and the Grand Hotel Portals Nous is not one to skimp out on the culinary factor. Astir (which means star in Greek) is the hotel’s gourmet restaurant and the only one on Majorca serving cuts of meat supplied by Bodega El Capricho, a famous restaurant in Leon that serves some of the best steak in the world.

For your wellness and relaxation, the hotel created the world’s first ever SKin Inc Wellness & Beauty Institute in collaboration with Skin Inc. to provide personalized, state-of-the-art skincare treatments for guests at the Beautyphere. In addition, the Wellnessphere has various facilities at no extra costs for guests to enjoy, including a Finnish sauna, biosauna, Turkish bath, contrast pool, ice fountain, and six different types of showers. A Wellness Bar is on standby to replenish your body with fresh-squeezed juices, detox drinks, and infusions.

It’s clear that the Grand Hotel Portals Nous is here to tend to your every beck and call, needs and wants. Now if only every weekend can be spent here…
