Christian Vivanco has created a new lamp and bedside table called Alux for Almerich. It was introduced at Valencia Design Week. According to Mayan mythology, Alux is a forest-dwelling goblin-like creature or a naughty elf and — apparently — this is the inspiration for the Alux dual-function table/lamp.

I’d like to see a small storage underneathe the surface, like a reverse lamp shade with drawers.
