Ambrosiana, a Collection Inspired by Milan

Ambrosiana is a project inspired by the city of Milan. A collaboration between three designers with an emotional connection to the city, Cristina Celestino, Serena Confalonieri, Elena Salmistraro wanted to create a tribute collection to their beloved city.

Many different processes were used to create Ambrosiana. From the use of traditional materials to a distortion of common shapes through new functional assignments, the collection has many different aesthetic languages.

Cattedrale is made of five concentric containers with different decorative textures, and stacked to create a vibrant visual effect.

Meneghine pays homage to Milano and the Duomo city cathedral that’s made of a white and dusty pink stone.

Obei Obei is a set of wall mirrors, inspired by the windows of iconic Milanese buildings.

Santissimi is a collection of three trays made of iron and stained glass, replicating a traditional technique used to create cathedral windows.

Vedovelle

Vedovelle

Vedovelle mimics the typical dark green public fountain found in Milan. It was redesigned, scaled, made of borosilicate glass and turned into 1 L bottles.

Velasca

Velasca

Velasca consists of 3 glasses made of mouth-blown borosilicate glass and was inspired by towers veiled in mist.

Created in collaboration with Spazio 900, Ambrosiana is a culmination of different, unique pieces made by signature Milan designers.
