Apartment T by KC design studio

Apartment T is a 120 square meter (1292 square foot) apartment located in the East District of Taipei City that was designed by KC design studio. Breaking from its traditional closed off layout, they opened the living spaces up to increase interaction.

The German-born homeowner requested the interior to reflect the design aesthetics he grew up around in his hometown of Cologne. Therefore, the space incorporates red brick walls and wood beams, along with subtle, muted tones and modern furnishings to create a cozy, comfortable home.

While a majority of the interior was designed with a fairly neutral palette, they brought in color through the artwork and a curated mix of objects.

The homeowner longed for a vacation-like space with views of nature, but its city location made that impossible. To give him a taste of greenery, the balcony was filled with plants that can be seen from every window.
