Asymptotes is graphic designer and design enthusiast Isaac Gertman and his mother Ilene, a long-time quilter and crafter (how cute is that!). The bags are made out of odd lots and reclaimed pieces of upholstery textiles by Knoll, Maharam, and others. The idea is for mid-century design lovers to bring their love with them everywhere. Even if you can’t afford a piece of Eames or Knoll furniture, you can take it with you in the form of a bag.
