Concrescence: Modern Concrete & Wood Planters

Vako Design, out of Iowa, designed a series of concrete and wooden planters with an interior space in mind. Named Concrescence, the planters are designed so that they can be arranged in a variety of ways. The planters are available in three sizes – 5″ wide and 3″, 5″, and 8″ tall.

The planter is made of a cement and sand mix that is then poured into a mold. Once dry, they’re set into a birch plywood base that’s been cut using CNC routing technology. The stand requires zero hardware and is easily assembled. Once put together, the stand can be used on either side to elevate the plant higher or lower from the ground.

While the planters were designed with the interior in mind, the concrete part of the planter can be used outdoors.
