Dutch designer Piet Boon has designed a new series of Concrete Wallpaper in cooperation with NLXL that will launch at this year’s ICFF in New York. NLXL previously collaborated with Piet Hein Eek on the scrapwood wallpaper collection that we love so much.

Piet Boon, whose sophisticated work is sleek and understated, wanted to utilize his favorite material, concrete, in a more affordable way. The wallpaper transforms a space to look like concrete, yet maintains the original walls just in case you decide to change your mind down the road. It’s a simple solution to get the look of concrete, especially using NLXL’s high-quality paper and production methods.

it looks nice…but do we really want more phony surface treatments?

Why not? The reall thing doesn’t always look this good, and the usability is endless!

Perhaps the next step is graffiti tags (dry erase marker, of course) in your living room?

Phhhhhhaaaaatttttttttttt – whoa, how long has it been since I used that word? Did I EVER use that word, even ca. ’95? Anyway, these walls are super rad. I’m working on concrete flooring at the moment, trying to recreate this acid-treated look (http://www.smart-urban-stage.com/blog/future-of-the-city/new-ways-of-sanctuary/), but I might ditch the attempt, keep my stripped wood floors and get some of this wallpaper, instead.

In few projects we try to make a very nice Loft, but client don’t want any dust, but they love urban style. And when we use this collection, clients sad ‘Wow! It’s awesome!’ One problem is to find who bring this wallpapers to Russia, we find only one company: http://oboi-vsem.ru/catalog.php?creater_id=2374
