Montreal-based startup Detraform is introducing a beautiful new cordless phone for home telephone lines. Designed by London design house Kiwi & Pom, the Model 500 is a sleek, L-shaped phone that looks like it could hold its own next to any cell phone designed these days. It might not have Angry Birds on it, but it’s a beautiful specimen that makes old school new again.

In this day and age, those buttons will have to go. A seamless touchscreen interface would be the way to go.
