deZign Studio is a design studio based in Italy who has been specializing in design, architecture and product development consulting since 2000.
About 4 months ago, they met up with another Italian company named Lamidea, who provides metal materials. They were interested in working with designers on how to use particular types of metals in design. Through their collaboration with Lamidea, deZign Studio has created a series of laser-cut steel accessories.
The “Doily Sisters” series is inspired by Grandmothers everywhere (reminds me of the Granny Shelf) and the “Cut” series features minimal cuts in the steel.
