A Dream-Worthy Treehouse in Portugal

If you were lucky enough to have a treehouse when you were little, I’m jealous. If you were lucky enough to have a treehouse like this one, I’m coming over right now. Saperlipopette Les Architectes and Martial Marquet teamed up to design this massive, dream-worthy treehouse, CASA NO MURO, that spans the length of a wall on a home’s property in Albergaria dos Dozes, Portugal.

Take a look:

With no trees on the property, the designers had to get creative and they chose the concrete wall around the yard with the neighbor’s tree just outside of it. Instead of being built in a tree, the cabin was built on the wall offering panoramic views of the landscape.

The clients had a small budget to work with, so they built the cabin with some help from the architects, local craftsmen, and the neighbors.

The design includes a ladder, an angular cabin, seating, and a belvédere platform.

The cabin can be opened up by pushing up on the roof in one area with the help of pneumatic jacks or closed for more privacy.
