Airbnb rents some of the most fabulous apartments and homes around the world so it’s only fitting that their European hub be just as show-stopping. The company hired architect Heneghan Peng to design the Dublin offices as an open and creative space that reflects everything the company has to offer. While they tied in culture from various locations, they also reference Dublin with the reception area mimicking an Irish pub complete with a horseshoe bar.

To get started, the architects took a look at some of the most interesting properties from around the world to reference in the individual pods they used as meeting rooms.

Each of the pods has two sides of windows so the staff can have uninterrupted views of the rest of the office.

A bench, designed by Peng, that was from the Pavilion of Ireland’s 2012 contribution to the Venice Biennale was brought in to offer seating to the employees. The bench is made up of six interlinked sections that sink as people sit on it, creating dips and peaks for user interaction.
