Elda Bellone and Davide Carbone of GSelect have collaborated under the brand new company Scoope Design on a chair called Elda.
Elda isn’t just a chair, it’s a multi-functional “chairstepladder.” The greatest part of this design is that you really don’t expect the chair to be more than a chair. It isn’t a chair that kind of looks like a stepladder. That is, until you see it fully unfolded. Certainly a great addition to a small space or just about anywhere with high ceilings. Made from sustainable wood with a water-based painted finish and a 100% wool felt hood.

Elda will be for sale soon. If interested, please contact Scoope Design.

Love it. And who can resist a chair with a hood ?

A really fantastic re-take on an old dual-purpose stair chair. I have one from the 1930s, but want to make a switch to this.

This type of chair was invented by Benjamin Franklin.

This is great! I have never seen a chair that looks and functions like this before… It’s usually some sort of ladder with a seat on it!
