Using solid wood and marble for tops, Luca Nichetto designed a series of side tables called the Torei Family for Cassina. Inspired by the serving tray and its small size and flexibility, the tables come in four forms and two different heights for a variety of uses.
The tables get their name from the Japanese word for “tray” and it’s a phonetic transposition of it. When you look at the tables, they do look as if they are trays sitting on top of metal structures.
With a combination of materials, colors, and heights, the tables can be arranged into a variety of compositions depending on your needs. Place several of them together to create a coffee table or split them up for individual side tables.
