It’s mug magic! (OK, it’s not magic).

Enjoy a more exciting cup of coffee when using this mug designed by Tigere Chiriga.

The handle is designed to hold the cup up off the ground and appear to be levitating.

That’s a nice looking cup and a clever concept. However, assuming the cup is made from ceramic, I think that handle is going to be very fragile and vulnerable to fracturing as compared with more conventional design. Granted there is a picture of the cup supporting a jug of water, but there is a big difference between a static loading and a dynamic loading (i.e a drop). I would consider perhaps redesigning the shape of the handle where it connects to the cup to increase the stiffness/durability. Just a thought. Cheers!

you should check the kickstarter page before commenting. There’s photo with a filled 4 liter jug on the mug and it still won’t break

Great idea! not only does it look cool, but insulates the base from the heat of the contents.
