The Footprint table by Nicholas Langan AKA Journeyman Furniture is made in solid oak and is finished with oil. The footprints are printed on the top and underside of the table, giving the impression that the table has been walked on and indented with footprints.
It is a true combination of hand crafted skill and state of the art technology. Reminds me of the Footprints in the Sand poem.

This table will be on display as part of the Furniture Designer Makers exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum September 18-26, 2010 during The London Design Festival.

The “idea” of this is cool… but it’s totally grossing me out. I can’t imagine wanting this in my home or office.

The footprints are not printed onto the surfaces of the wood as the text suggests but are carved into the top and out of the underside giving the ‘impression’ that the table has been walked on and the surface has been pushed through.
