Friday Five with Nicole Sassaman

Nicole Sassaman has a keen eye for redesigning spaces, completely reinventing them, and making them uniquely her own.  She has renovated and sold dozens of residential properties in the Los Angeles area from downtown to the Hollywood Hills. Nicole has shared her interior design expertise and “Sassy Tips” on shows such as iVillage Live, the E! series Area and Lulu’s House on Fine Living.  She has also appeared on HGTV’s My House is Worth What?, Designer’s Challenge, Smart Solutions and I Want That Kitchen as well as SoapTalk with Lisa Rinna.  Her list of clients includes some of the most notable names in the entertainment industry including Universal Studios, Amblin Entertainment, UPN and many more. In 2008, she published her first book Design Life, a compilation of inspiring before and after images. To date, Nicole has transformed nearly 100 properties in Southern California. She also has a blog called Design Life!

Let’s take a look at some of the modern interior design staples Nicole can’t live without:

1. Viking Appliances
Viking appliances are a must have for every kitchen that I design. Their quality is superior to the rest, they are an American product, they have fabulous customer service, and they add more value to the property than most anything else that I can put into it!

2. SieMatic
SieMatic cabinetry is one of my favorites! It is designed and engineered in Germany. Need I say anything else? ;-)

3. B&B Italia
I am a huge fan of B&B Italia and the Maxalto collection. The lines are modern and sleek and add a richness to any room they are in.

4. Portola Paint
Portola Paint (LA) is one of the coolest paint stores around. They have real lime washes, plasters, and so many other amazing paints to help you to create a unique space like no other.

5.  NanaWall
NanaWall systems are a must have when you are in need of exterior doors. No matter what style that you are designing/building, they have it all and they are top quality products!
