For some reason I feel outdoor carpets or rugs are especially welcome in the Fall. Sometimes it feels warm enough to still be barefoot if a little protection is there. And, as flowers are less present, these can add a little color too!

Dedon has just presented their new 2011 collection in Milan. Lots can be said about the collection as a whole, so the new outdoor carpets they offer may go a little unnoticed.

These designs, created by renowned international carpet designer Michaela Schleypen, are yet another sign the outdoor rug is new necessity. Conceived and available in three versions and two varying colors, they add that “je ne sais quoi” that pulls a decor set together.

Other brands are tapping the trend and I like the newcomers, such as Esedra.

They have brought these new designs to the market which are practical, versatile and highly decorative. The design is entirely made of a new material fruit of the most advanced technological research: water-repellent, resistant to chemical and atmospheric agents, rot proof, it offers a great shock absorbency. The fun and creative part is that the design is dynamic: you set the modules together as you want.
