Gummi C by Martine Viergever

Sometimes something so simple can turn out to be the best idea. Take Gummi C by the Rotterdam-based jewelry designer Martine Viergever. Inspired by the basic rubber band that we often find laying around or on our wrist, she took it past functionality and to the next level.

Gummi C is a small series of shapes including Ball, Disk, and Square that are either sterling silver, gold-plated sterling silver, or 14k gold. Take any rubber band, stretch it out, and fit a Gummi C shape onto the stretched part. Release it and the shape stays fixed. Worried about your rubber band wearing out? She includes 10 extra bands so that you can easily replace it.
