Colorful Handmade Carpets Made From Foam

Using only soft urethane foam, Rotterdam-based NIGHTSHOP is making some really cool “carpets”. Showdown is a series of carpets that are created by “drawing” with foam-filled syringes full of colors they mix themselves. They squirt the foam into lines and shapes until they resemble what looks like a patterned rug.

While they look like actual carpets, they fall into more of an object category without a clear use. NIGHTSHOP looks at them more as experiments in color, pattern, and material.
