Toronto design studio hollis+morris will be launching a collection of minimalist furniture at this year’s ICFF. Some of their designs may look familiar, probably because they made an appearance in the Mount Pleasant House by Roundabout Studio.
Included in the collection is the Bennington Pendant, a sleek, subtle lamp that’s made of mixed solid wood and metal end caps. Its linear shape makes it an interesting addition to any gallery or office.
Corktown Stool is a very intriguing stool that’s crafted from a single piece of ribboned metal with a wood or fabric top.
The Oldtown Stool takes a different direction and is a sturdy, sculptural piece that can also be turned into a side table when flipped. Mixing metal and wood, the Fairbanks Sideboard is a sleek yet functional piece that comes in a variety of finishes.
Bellwoods clothes stand attempts to combine art and design, where its shape is inspired by nature but with a modern metal touch.
Lastly, the Parkdale collection (also the first picture) consists of chairs and a bench composed of solid wood components that come in an assortment of colors. The form is clean and clear with purpose.
