IRIS Camera Lens by Mimi Zou

Mimi Zou is an American product designer and recent graduate of the Royal College of Art whose graduate project is a biometrics enabled camera called IRIS. Controlled by your eye, IRIS understand what you’re looking at through your iris signature and tracks your eye so it can capture exactly what you see.

I feel like this could be the future of the way we take casual photos – maybe this then becomes a contact lens or eyeglasses and we can blink to take a photo! It’s interesting to think how this kind of technology could evolve. The working prototype of this camera is currently on display in the Royal College of Art graduating SHOW through July 1, 2012.
