La Cornette by yh2 Architecture in main architecture Category

Located in Québec, Canada, La Cornette by yh2 Architecture has a roofline that mimics the slope of a small hill on which it is built.

Modeled on traditional Quebec houses of old that lodged large families and their relatives, the protruding roof line creates a nice shaded area and some privacy. I think the most striking aspects of the interior are the unusual sleeping arrangements and the curious wall treatments. The furnishings were also made to fit the interior space like a glove. Love that pop-up TV in the coffee table!
