2011 Installation CBK Amsterdam

Working with crystals, chromed metal, precious stones, mirrors, and optical glass, Dutch artist Suzan Drummen designs labor-intensive landscape floor installations that are full of illusions and optical effects creating a visual array of colorful eye candy. Each component is individually placed by hand making up the massively intricate patterns that adorn gallery and museum floors.

From far away the designs appear to be symmetrical patterns of colors and shapes and upon looking closer, you begin to see the complexity of the individual parts.
