This formerly small home was renovated several times over the years and most recently redesigned by French architect Maurice Padovani. Located near the beaches in Marseilles, France, Le Prado now serves the family of four with open and airy spaces of bright whites and warm woods, along with industrial elements dispersed throughout.

The main living room space sits on the middle floor with access to the mezzanine bedroom above via a folded steel staircase. The open stairs are made possible by being anchored into a hidden structure within the wall.

The high ceilings and wood beams keep the space light but cozy.

The bedroom space above was created for the parent’s and the skylight keeps the light pouring in.

The downstairs houses the kitchen, dining room, and family room and is accessed by the front stairs. The space has a similar feel to the space above with modern pieces mixed in with neutral artwork and vintage pieces.
