From the designer:

Lic chair is designed from a two-dimensional profile that minimizes surface area required for support. This steel profile is constituted as a unit of construction to be laced and multiplied by the geometric operations of copy and rotation around a vertical axis.

The Lic chair’s 90º degree (seat and back) relation between each rotation axis for the construction units’ assemblage is oriented perpendicular to its pressure points: altering the relationship between volume, density and weight in constant counterpoint to the visual perception of space in which is viewed from.

From the designer:

The Ermelinda chair is a fiberglass double surface resulting from a structural skinning adapted to the weight of the beholder: morphing the copy, translation and scale of a single closed profile encasing seat and back; generating simultaneously surface and vacuum.

The Ermelinda chair ’s volume stresses the performative efficiency of the object, enhanced by the impact of the user as a form factor generator: extracting mass from the body adaptation to a seating surface, and the minimum support to balance its weight.
