Laikingland, a creative firm based in The Netherlands and the UK, designs and makes beautiful (and sometimes quirky) kinetic objects, like this candle lantern. A collaboration between Joost van Bleiswijk and Kiki van Eijk, the Light a Moment lantern has a ceramic base that holds a traditional candle.

The outer shell is covered in fragmented mirrors that reflect the candle’s flame 1000 times. The shell opens in a slow movement that allows you to take a moment to reflect and appreciate the process of lighting the candle and living in the now.

This is just beautiful. I love the combination od the ceramic base and wooden form. It appears to give off a wonderful glow. Thanks for sharing.
