A Minimal Table Inspired by Japanese Hand Tattooing

Based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Wren & Cooper design minimalist hardwood furniture with simple, graphic details. Their Tebori Table is made of solid bleached maple or natural oak, each with hand turned legs that feature a detail inspired by a traditional type of Japanese hand tattooing, called tebori.

The technique leads to subtle, hand drawn gradations that can only happen without the use of technology or a machine.
