A Mirrored Hut on the Beach Piques Curiosity

Recently, an unusual sighting appeared on the beach in Worthing, UK – a mirrored hut designed by local firm ECE Architecture. They wanted to create an installation that would engage the locals and get them talking. So, they brought in Mark Sephton from Creative Forager for help and the team spent six weeks designing and building the classic beach hut structure (with a twist!) that matched the size of other huts on the beach.

The team used laser-cut mirrored acrylic sheets on top of wooden panels and finished it off with dark grey gaps between the sheets which help define the shape. The hut was installed at 4 AM on a Saturday morning and word spread quickly. Just imagine all the selfies everyone must have been taking!
