Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel by PSLAB

PSLAB was approached by architect India Mahdavi to create a lighting concept at the Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel in Monte Carlo. In the ceiling lighting fixture, the beautiful leaf-like shapes are created out of sheet metal and clustered together to create a diffused light effect. In addition, the glossy surfaces of the leaf shapes reflect the light coming from differently positioned discs. Each sheet is combined in a system of superimposed discs, which allows for the sheets to rotate around an axis in two directions, thus allowing different settings.
