Moroso Expands Their Dakar-Inspired M’Afrique Collection

Designed by Concetta Giannangeli, Sama’ (semà in Turkish) is a colorful woven chair that was inspired by a sacred dance of the Sufis that can also include music, poetry, meditation, movement, light, and colors.

The Big Easy is an armchair by designer Ron Arad that now comes in a M’Afrique version for outdoors. The original Big Easy chair was one of the very first designs Arad did for the brand and since then, he’s made several versions in various shapes and materials. This latest version is traditionally woven in brightly colored threads.

David Weeks designed the Amaca lounge chair after working with local weaving methods and traditional materials to create the moiré pattern, which is the result of the warp and weft mixed with the spiral design.
