I use old paper swatches/samples to make cards at the beginning of each month for birthdays… I am a serious furniture-phile… especially the Eames.
Mia J. on 08.11.2008 at 08:09 AM
I would make some super cool cards. I have never seen stamps like these. I would love to win.
Chris Hardy on 08.11.2008 at 08:11 AM
Time. No longer would I spend hours and hours trolling through cben.net ‘s utterly unorganized database of CAD blocks in the hunt for that perfect block. A block would fit so well into the section of my building. Anything by Charles and Ray has a spot waiting for it in my drawings.
Louise Brouillette on 08.11.2008 at 08:16 AM
The possibilities are endless!
plastolux on 08.11.2008 at 08:28 AM
I would need to get my hands on them first, then let the my mind take it from there.

these would be great for the invitations I am planning to make. And thank you notes of course too.
Roger on 08.11.2008 at 08:53 AM
I’m in need of window treatments on my condo’s patio doors, and I’m thinking a wonderful sheer, shimmery fabric with a border of these stamped shapes would be great, plus guests may or may not see the corelation between the shape on the drapes, and the Eames Lounge sitting 4 feet away!
Clifton Wade on 08.11.2008 at 09:13 AM

to an interior design student, the work of charles and ray eames is iconic. nothing will be safe from being stamped, NOTHING! …but i’m thinking home-made wrapping paper and cards, framed prints and some experimentation on fabric to start.

Hi, I will press them on post’its, don’t you also think post’its are a bit yellow!
Kyle on 08.11.2008 at 10:09 AM

Erin Jepson on 08.14.2008 at 10:38 AM

Geneviève on 08.18.2008 at 07:31 AM
Friends of mine have just bought their first house. As a house-warming gift, a few of us are pitching in to get them a Herman Miller gift certificate. These stamps would be great to include in their gift since they are probably going to use their certificate towards an Eames piece… Of course, I would be very tempted to keep them for myself (I have a few Eames pieces as well) but I will be the generous friend and give them up for the better cause!
Rubén on 08.18.2008 at 08:37 AM
¡Me encantan!

I would use the stamps to make large silhouette “paintings” of Eames chairs. For example I would use the wire chair stamp to make a large wire chair art piece using several different shades to create some depth. I would make three of them all differnt colors and then frame and hang in my dinning room.

I would make my daughter smile by giving them to her. She’s 2 but shows some serious signs of tinkerer. So as she grows I can teach her about what it is on each stamp and how the Eames tinkered to get those designs.

My husband and I just bought our first house, but we have no furniture and (of course!) no money to buy any. I think it’d be cool to take the stamps of the chair images and blow them so that we’d have life-size cardboard chairs for a housewarming party we’ll be having in a few months.

I’am a single mom and most everything I buy is for my kids. However I surely feel fine with accepting free gifts for myself. I have recently began scrapbooking the many picutes I have of me and my children in the wee hours of the morning to give myself a little “ME” time and would love to recieve these unique retro stamps. So if you find it in your heart to give a hardworking single mom a bit of enjoyment then by all means send those fabulous stamps my way! Thank you!
