Eva Rielland is a young French designer who recently graduated from ESAD of Saint-Etienne. Her final project, Objects of Another Age rethinks high-tech tools and makes them easier to understand, for example, for the elderly.
Primarily to reduce the learning curve and anxiety associated with learning new technology, these objects work as a system. Each object performs one of the major functions from a computer: write, view, upload images, print. By separating these out as simple objects, one can easily learn how each item functions.
There is the frame (used for video chat), the mailbox (exchange e-mails), printer and finally, the visual (that presents an image received by e-mail).
