Out of Work

You may have seen something like this before for wine, Out of Work (OOW) is a product specifically for you social beer drinkers. The idea was born when Barcelona-based designers Giovanna de Ávila and Joan Sunyol joined forces to create this design. Used to the Spanish tradition of “tapeo” (that’s the Spanish word for going to snack bars), they found that it was very uncomfortable to be standing at the same time with the dish and the glass in each hand.
OOW holds the beer glass allowing you to carry both dish and glass with just one hand. It allows you to drift with your friends without thinking “where did I leave my glass?” Each beer glass is artisan mouth-blown and each plate is hand made in ceramics. So, next time you’re off to the bar, it’s BYOG&P, or “bring your own glass and plate.”

I’ve seen something similar but this one is far more elegant.
Do you know where/if we can purchase (retail)? Also, on Giovanna de Avila’s site, the product is called “Outside of Work” (not “Out of Work”).
Hi Carol, Please contact the designer via her website to inquire about purchasing. Giovanna submitted the project to us as “Out of Work” and it is listed on her site in both ways, I’m not sure why.
Hi Carol, Jaime is right. Is listed both ways at my website. The day we camed with this idea and met at the bar to do the tapas, one of us was “Out of Work” and the other one was “Outside of work”.We thought it was unfair just to mention just one.Thank you for asking.
This is amazing! A must-need for cocktail parties and mixers.
Im curious about the weight distribution. Things like this, where the weight is positioned at the far end, tend to get uncomfortable very quickly. Elegant design otherwise.
@Lone: You have to drink really fast!
cool looking
Awesome! It really comes in handy when you go for a drink and some “tapas”.Delicate design as well.
Hi … I think this design requires a very strong thumb to hold the stuff when the glass is full. Fashion design but finally usefull.
