Printing Your Toast by Othmar Muhlebach

Usually, I hate to wait for my slices of bread to toast, but if I had this toaster designed by Othmar Muhlebach I would enjoy it. This toaster operates like a desktop ink-jet printer because it “prints out” your bread slices as it toasts them. The designer is in the process of finding a manufacturer, so that’s good news for some people who might be interested in purchasing this clever kitchen appliance.

If it’s anything like my normal printer I’d expect it to regularly JAM. Hohohoho.
*groans*
Wouldn’t the bottom of the toast be cold by the time the top is toasted? I hate cold toast.
This is amazing! I would love to have one of these in my houses.
OK, let’s take this toaster one step further – chuck in an inbuilt 802.11b/g/n NIC, and RSS reader. That way, the morning news headlines are printed on your toast!
Convenient, but a bit odd-looking though… Mika Becktor’s one is my favourite : http://www.sleekdesign.fr/2009/10/01/le-designer-et-le-toaster/
Only practical for one piece of toast (if that if the bottom does get cold by the time the top is done). I would definitely not describe this as “clever”. Only an idiot would waste their money on this.
Thats amazing!!
We’ve printed on a lot of substrates – but never toast…cool…I want one
