A Private Residence in Maryland Gets a Major Renovation

If you saw pictures of the original house (see below!), you’d never believe that the Halcyon Woods Residence was the same home. Located in Easton, Maryland, this private residence got a complete interior renovation, which included a custom kitchen, living spaces, bedrooms, exterior deck, and pergola. Tackling the massive design project was Shinberg.Levinas and Oehme van Sweden & Associates handled the landscape design.

The exterior has a deck the length of the house and a huge pergola to cover part of it, helping to keep some of the sun at bay.

The brick was painted white helping to bring a more modern look to the original structure.

The interior was opened up by removing walls to create a large, open plan living space that includes two fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors.

I love how most everything is white but with accents of orange and pale blue-gray.

Shinberg.Levinas designed the custom, all-white kitchen which even features a skylight over the island.
