How many times have you dropped or almost dropped your iPhone, then held your breath in fear that you’ve cracked the screen? I’m pretty sure we’ve all been there. Many of the cases made completely hide the sleek Apple design that we all know and love, which is why the Fika iPhone Wristlet is a smart little device that aims to solve these problems.

Fika has created a slim leather wristlet, in tangerine or mint-green, which slips over your hand making it easier to hold onto your phone. It’s as simple as plugging in the small white or black USB connector into the bottom of the phone, which stays in securely until you’re ready to remove it. Buttons on the side are pushed to easily remove it from your phone. So simple, yet so smart.

The Fika iPhone Wristlet is available for pre-order on Kickstarter for the month of September.

I really love the concept here, but the new Apple connector is debuting with the iPhone 5, and launching an investment accessory like this now seems like poor planning. Obviously not everyone is going to upgrade immediately, but the old dock connector is on it’s way to becoming obsolete.

This is a good point. I’m wondering if they’re considering making an iPhone 5 version, too?
