This Pryor house by Bates Masi Architects, situated in Montauk, NY, has a distant view of the ocean and prompts the owners to interact with the surrounding environment, evoking experiences of camping. The vacation house has various entrances that go through different areas of the home, depending on the guests. Large glass doors slide open to the living area for a large gathering, and glass dividers completely disappear into pocket doors to create big spaces that connect with the outside. The home is on a prefabricated foundation and was assembled rather than built, with many built-in cabinets and features that help maximize the space.
