Puff! is the perfect name for this playful furniture by Israeli designer Moran Barmaper Using a simple bicycle pump, you can inflate Puff!’s metal seat. Yes! Blow-up metal furniture!

For quite some time. Moran has been attempting to blow metal and after using various methods, she has been able to inflate it using a bike pump. Using a template, she was able to create her Yayu table, which has a flat surface area for drinks and books. Another inflatable piece is the Dan bench. Her latest is a series of DIY stools using no glue or screws but the metal itself to affix to wooden legs. During inflation, the metal joints become tightened.

Watch her put it together and inflate:

Do you know Oscar Zieta?? Sad to see how people abuse the ideas of others

I don’t see how this is abusive. The world would be pretty dull if people didn’t expand on ideas that they were inspired by.

Making copy design is abusive. I can’t see the fun in developing a concept another person already has done.
It’s not that original…

I have to agree, this is basically a complete concept rip of Zieta, not a new and interesting take on his ideas. Not to mention besides being first to do it, Zieta’s pieces are much better designed.

Basically the only thing that they have in common is that they are made from the same material: inflatable metal. I’m glad the second person that made something out of wood didn’t get discouraged when they were called a copycat. As far as design, the above wooden legs aren’t well integrated into the overall composition, but the Zieta pieces look like toilets. I hope people continue to “rip off” Zieta and make cool stuff out of this unique material.
