Quadrat: A Sculptural & Usable Wall Object

Quadrat, from the Hamburg, Germany-based product and furniture designer Dahm Lee, is one of those multifunctional objects that is made with no particular function in mind. Meaning, you can decide how you want to use it. The sculptural object is wrapped with rubber coils that allow you to hold, hang, or strap things in at your leisure.

Hang it on the wall or sit it on the counter and let the object speak for itself or let it serve a purpose. Inspired by all the shapes you see in a room, like a bookshelf, bed, table, door, and window, Lee decided to take that shape and twist it into a geometric form. The colorful rubber straps add to the overall shape and enhance the angles that much more.
