These scrap metal tables are constructed from the post-industrial waste created by a factory producing parts for tractors and NASCAR.
Created by Bevara Design House, the resulting laser-cut scrap metal sheets are bent & cut into simple, elegant forms and finished with a glass, wood or natural fiber reinforced concrete tabletop. The natural metal finish gives these pieces an edgy, industrial look, while the various powder coat color finishes transform them into modern works of art to fit any color scheme.

These are awesome. A little worried, though, about what they do with all the cutouts from the table. . .hopefully they’ve found something non-wasteful to do with them. Maybe their next work will be tables built from the cutouts slotted together. . .

I think the cutouts are the parts that are used by the factory and what remains is the scrap metal.

I like the idea very much. I sell houses for living and we usually decorate them as well before we try to sell them or we hire a firm and give them ideas on how to do it. I was recently offered few flats in the industrial part of the city, one of them is built inside the warehouse, tables with the industrial design like these tables would fit in perfectly! Especially the last one.

I’ve seen a lot of industrial waste used in various design projects and they almost always look like re-used industrial waste! However these examples all look superb – especially the lead photo table which very adroitly uses one of the curved shapes bent as a corner ‘connector’. I would certainly want to own one of these.
