Similar idea was used at the Donor Wall of the American Folk Art Museum in New York (Pentagram Design)
donor names were laser etched into different colored pieces of old wood.
Don’t have an image on me….
I saw this on TV, they were doing something similiar to make a feature wall. However they treated the wall and stained to give it a more rustic look. To me it looks like to big of a job to try and attempt at home. Maybe IKEA can come up with some premade kits that are simple to erect.

Genius. For me it seems like the beach, beautiful wood washed upon the shore. Totally Cape Cod.

This is so great looking. I had a friend who made frames from scrap like this, but this is amazing. I may need to fina a wall!

Great idea. If you don’t have a whole wall to dedicate to a design like this, perhaps it would make a good “headboard”

I adore this paper! I just discovered it on Vosges Paris – it is perfection.
