Sebastian Herkner for Moroso

German designer Sebastian Herkner recently launched two new products with Moroso – the Coat armchair and Bask, a collection of baskets.

The Bask collection is a mix between a modern, wire-framed basket and a traditionally-woven basket. After visiting a company in Spain that produces yarn with paper in it, he was inspired to make these baskets. What’s cool is you can flip them upside down and use them as side tables.

Coat is a cozy armchair without feet that sits flat on the floor. The idea for the gradient pattern on the fabric comes from those non-slip socks that have silicone on the bottoms. The chair is lightweight but sturdy and the soft cover is easily removed.
