The following post is brought to you by eBay. Our partners are hand-picked by the Design Milk team because they represent the best in design.

I’ll be honest. For a while there, I kind of forgot about eBay. OK, not completely—I buy a lot of bulk shipping supplies on there. But, for some reason I didn’t think about it as a place for design. Boy, was I wrong. I started creating some eBay collections and fond myself sucked into the biggest, deepest internet rabbit hole ever.

I started with only 3 collections and it quickly exploded to 12! I can’t help myself. I even created a vintage Christmas collection to get me inspired for decorating my tree when we’re in our house next year. I had no idea how many vintage decorations I’d discover, but it’s like hitting the retro-ornament-aluminum-tree lottery.

I think my favorite find is this reproduction art of the cool cat pieces in Pete Campbell’s apartment on Mad Men. A little pricey, but hey—it’s original art.

My favorite collection is probably either the Memphis or Vignelli. Only because it’s not easy to find these things anywhere else, especially pieces original to that time period like vintage Heller plate sets or an Ettore Sottsass signature design.

And, I couldn’t help but look for some vintage MCM goodness and modern design icons over there, too (including that vintage Nelson clock pictured above).

The other thing I love about it is that you can still find some of your favorite sold out designer collaborations from H&M, Anthropologie or Target. For example, I’m stalking this Marni for H&M necklace right now… one day, it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

The best part about creating these collections is that eBay is giving away $25,000 – YES I said $25,000! Use the sharing buttons to share your collections and they will be entered for a chance to win $1,000 weekly cash prizes and a $25,000 grand prize. More info here (sweepstakes ends 12/31/13).
