A Sideboard Inspired by the Modernist Movement

Marcel is a modern sideboard composed of wood and tubular metal that gives it the look of a car grill or a radio speaker. Designed by Fabrizio Simonetti for Formabilio, the sideboard’s chrome legs were inspired by one of the masters of the Modernist movement, Marcel Breuer, hence its name.

The doors have alternating slats of wood, one vertical and the other horizontal for graphic appeal. The metal legs wrap up and around the wooden frame giving it a mixed material look.
