Söderöra in Sweden by Tham & Videgård Architects

Söderöra is a summer house by Tham & Videgård Architects located in the Stockholm archipelago. The exterior is covered in black roofing felt. The interior is covered in white wood panels and features a central open living space and two bedrooms, a bathroom and a storage room in each of its four corners. The ceiling skylight allows for a lot of natural light.

I like the scale of this project, its really a hut.
Simple and pure. Congrats!
i love the shadows and light that come from the skylight…beautiful cabin!
Very creative, very artistic.
First of all, I appreciate the creativity and uniqueness. Just wondering about the outside finish. Felt paper? That’s it?
I didn’t see bathrooms…
yeah whats up with the bathrooms
The last time I was at Söderöra there was no plumbing. I can’t imagine there is now, either. Some people have electric toilets, but most use outhouses (or the toilets on their boats). A boat comes to collect the outhouse pots.
